On November 16, one of the largest technological events in Central Asia will be held in Tashkent, at the Palace of Youth -international forum ItConf.Asia, which will bring together more than 2000 participants. The conference will discuss current trends in the field of IT, artificial intelligence, blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Additional discussions will focus on esports, investing in startups, and their accessibility to ordinary investors. The conference is organized by the decentralized financial ecosystem Okschain, the industry forum Terra Crypto,Simplex IT company, Youth Union of Uzbekistan, as well as Up to win company. The official partners of the conference are Binance, Bitmain and IT Park Uzbekistan.
</p>Forum organizers set a goal to tella wide audience about all the advantages and opportunities of digital technologies, as well as gathering high-tech professionals in one place - representatives of IT companies, start-ups, developers, investors and government officials, which should help in creating an active IT and blockchain community in Uzbekistan. Particular attention will be paid to investments, education in the IT industry and cases of existing technology projects.
Conference Organizer Alexander Mamasidikov -ISINA.Music marketing director and co-founder of IEO Agency noted the extremely favorable environment for launching blockchain projects in Uzbekistan, due to the increased interest and attention to the technology sector from the country's leadership, as well as the presence of a strong mining community.
The forum guests included: Murodzhon Khamraev - representative of Bitmain, Alexander Mamasidikov - marketing director of the American blockchain startup ISINA Music and co-founder of IEO Agency, Alexander Kalmykov - head of the blockchain center of Gazpromneft, Alexander Kuchkarov - director of innovation at IT Park Uzbekistan, Dmitry Plakhov - head of blockchain- laboratories of Russian Railways and Dmitry Machikhin - CEO of the Wallet for gamers Cashtan.
Special guests of the conference were Gleb Kostarev - a representative of the Binance exchange and Bekzod Gapporov - one of the leaders of the local blockchain community and the founder of the fintech ecosystem Okschain.
It is worth noting that the development of the IT industry isa priority for Uzbekistan. This was announced in 2018 by the president of the republic, Shafkat Mirziyoyev. Then he issued a decree “On the development of the digital economy in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, according to which cryptocurrencies received legal status in the republic, and the National Project Management Agency received authority to regulate them.
Also in 2018, activities were legalized.crypto-exchange, and income from cryptocurrency transactions is exempt from taxes. In addition to crypto exchanges, crypto exchangers can conduct their activities on the territory of the republic. The tax on the activity of p2p exchangers is only 5% of the turnover. Also, since 2021, Uzbekistan plans to introduce blockchain in the activities of state bodies to ensure transparency in office work and eliminate bureaucratic barriers.
Additionally, the conference will be a bigan exhibition where various organizations will tell about themselves and their achievements. The event will be attended by 26 speakers from 15 countries, such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, China, South Korea and the USA.
Entrance to the exhibition costs a symbolic $ 1. Afterpati will be held in one of the clubs in Tashkent, and the next day for the main guests an excursion to Samarkand is planned.
