Venezuelan authorities will give citizens 0.5 Petro

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said on national television that his government is readypay a one-time benefit of 0.5 Petro (approximately US$30) to all pensioners, public sector workers and military personnel.

In order to receive a digital “bonus” from the president next week, a resident of Venezuela must download and register in the Petro App.

Petro App – The official national Petro wallet that allows Venezuelans to buy and exchange Petro for BTC, ETH and LTC. 

Let us remind you that the president promised to pay crypto-Christmas bonuses back in November.

Last year, Maduro  already undertookattempt to Airdrop Petro. At that time, the government provided tokens through a platform designed to manage social benefits for Venezuelans: the Patria system. Using this system, Venezuelans can exchange received Petro for other cryptocurrencies or for fiat.
