Sony AI launches a new project dedicated to the automation of gastronomic research.

A division of a Japanese conglomerate,specializing in research in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence, it will work in three directions at once: an application to help develop new recipes, robotic solutions for the kitchen, and platforms for remote interaction of chefs and researchers.

According to the company, the AI-powered application will take into account data on taste, smell, structure, andthe chemical composition of the ingredients, helping culinary specialists create new dishes and menus.

Sony AI will also develop a chef robot that can assist in the kitchen throughout the entire cooking and presentation process.

The project team also plans to presenta solution that will facilitate global collaboration between chefs, research institutes and private companies. This initiative will also help the company develop its products.
