HTC will release the application for mining Monero on smartphones

HTC is working on the DeMiner application, with which users of blockchain smartphones will be able to mine the Monero cryptocurrency (XMR).

The mobile miner is jointly developed by Taiwanese consumer electronics giant and ASAS maker Midas Labs. Partners plan to release DeMiner in the second quarter of 2020.

According to the announcement, the application will automatically stop mining when the phone is in normal use or when the charger is disconnected.

The developers claim that DeMiner will strengthendecentralization of the Monero network and will provideCost-effective mining. EXODUS 1S users will be able to mine XMR for approximately 0.38 cents per day, while energy costs will be less than 50% of the total.

For comparison, when mining Monero on a regular laptop, the daily income will now be about 6 cents, but the cost of energy spent on mining will be 2-3 times more.
