Chiliz's Socios platform today announced an advertising deal with the American ice hockey team New Jersey Devils.

Socios has already signed contracts with a largethe number of big football teams like Juventus and Barcelona. These teams have issued fan tokens on the Chiliz blockchain. Over the past 12 months, many of these coins have risen markedly in value.

However, the hockey team does not yet plan to issue its own token or use blockchain technology.The contract is for advertising purposes only- The Socios logo will be displayed on banners at all Devils home and away games until the end of the season.

According to Chiliz CEO Alexander Dreyfus, this is only the first step towards entering the American market. He declared:

We are working on dozens of other agreements with teams and sports franchises to strengthen our presence in the States and around the world in 2021.

Socios has already opened its new headquarters in New York, and Chiliz is committed to investing at least $ 50 million in partnerships between Socios and the major US sports leagues.
