The Italian company will release the first civilian tiltrotor

Italian aircraft manufacturer Leonardo is preparing for serial production of the first commercial aircraft with the possibility of vertical take-off and landing.

The nine-seater civil aircraft, the AW609 is capable of flying up to 1,850 km at speeds of more than 550 km/h, reaching a maximum altitude of 7.6 km.An aircraft with rotary engines combines the best characteristics of an airplane and a helicopter, as it is able to take off and land vertically, and use rotors for horizontal thrust in the air.
