Russian bankers will take an active part in the development and implementation of blockchain technology in the country.
Financial organizations jointly created the first blockchain operator in Russia – LLC “Distributed Registry System”.
The initiative involves the Moscow Exchange, VTB,Gazprombank, Promsvyazbank, FinTech Association (AFT), National Payment Card System (NSPK) and FAT. The official document on the partnership was signed last week, on April 9.
At the same time, AFT transfers the rights to use the only certified blockchain platform Masterchain to the newly created LLC.
According to the organizers, the creation of a singleblockchain operator will help to centrally reduce costs for digital market participants, introduce innovative solutions and create new services and products.
The initiators are confident that the operator will provide assistancewith distributed registry technology, not only business market participants – companies of the credit and financial system – but also will help modernize the work of the public sector in the light of digital technology.
