Mastercard, Ripple and Binance join Blockchain Education Alliance

Mastercard, the innovation divisions of Ripple and Binance, and eight other companies have joined the alliance.supporting blockchain education at universities around the world.

MouseBelt blockchain accelerator announces thataccepted 11 founding members in its Blockchain Education Alliance. In addition to Mastercard, Ripple and Binance, the alliance included representatives of Neo, KuCoin and the Matic Network. They will join 13 companies, including Stellar, TRON and Wanchain, which have already become part of the alliance since its inception last October.

The Blockchain Education Alliance is part of the university's MouseBelt program, an initiative to train the next generation of blockchain developers in more than 80 student associations around the world.Alliance members provide funding and educational resources that help students and educators develop curricula and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the industry.

"All members of the alliance share our ambition: the best way to invest in the industry is to make a long-term investment in education," the director saidMouseBelt University by Ashlie Meredith. The better the education, the higher it will bethe level of developers and projects in the future."

The Alliance began its activity with cooperation with13 universities in North America, but has expanded and has now established relations with approximately 70 universities in North and South America, as well as in Asia and Europe.

Head of Developer Relations atRipple Xpring Hatchery Warren Paul Anderson said joining the alliance will help potential developers master specific skills and give them access to the necessary educational resources.

"Mousebelt's mission to promote blockchain technology at the university curriculum level is directly related to Xpring's mission," he said.

Blockchain education is given full attentionmore attention from both private companies and educational organizations around the world. In December, the Africa Blockchain Institute (ABI) said it would open Rwanda's first blockchain school in 2020, with five new courses for local developers, industry professionals and government officials.

That same month, the University of CaliforniaSanta Barbara hosted the first certified blockchain course. In November, it was reported that Zilliqa and Oxford University had launched a course on blockchain for women, while in October the University of Malta launched a master's program in blockchain.
