Libra Association created a committee to monitor the development of the project

The management of the Libra project of the largest social network Facebook has organized a technical coordination committee forcontrol over the development of global stablecoin.

The company’s blog says that the committeeFive participants are included: Anchorage co-founder Diogo Monica, Calibra core product manager George Cabrera, Joe Lallows, CEO and founder of Bison Trails, Nick Grossman, Union Square Ventures partner, and Rick Shreves, Mercy Corps technical director.

The expert group will monitor whetherproject technological roadmap Libra Network, as well as control the development of the code base of the project, the launch of the main network of which is scheduled for the end of this year.

In the first quarter, the committee will introduce the structureLibra technical project management and a mechanism by which an open community of developers will be able to propose technical changes to the network.

Last summer, the announcement of the launch of Libraand the whitepaper digital Facebook currency was published. However, soon due to the cautious reaction of regulators, payment companies PayPal, Mercado Pago, Visa, Stripe and Mastercard refused to participate in the project.

However, the project does not stand still - the Libra Association recently published its second Libra Core software development roadmap.

Recall that earlier the President of Switzerland, Uli Maurer, expressed the opinion that the Libra project needs to be radically redesigned, otherwise it will fail.
