DeMiner XMR mining app will appear on HTC Exodus 1S smartphone

Users of the Exodus 1S smartphone from Taiwanese electronics manufacturer HTC will be able to mine Monero throughDeMiner application created by Midas Labs chip developer.

Today the DeMiner application is locatedcurrently in development, Midas Labs plans to release it this quarter. The app will automatically stop cryptocurrency mining if a person starts using the device or disconnects it from the power source.

HTC Decentralization LeaderPhil Chen said that DeMiner will reduce mining costs and make it more decentralized. Chen believes the cryptocurrency world is “suffering” from the dominance of giant mining pools with large computing power. To solve this problem as efficiently as possible, you need to make sure that anyone can deal with cryptocurrency mining using only a mobile phone. This will motivate individual miners and will contribute to the decentralization of the network.

According to the CEO of Midas Labs andProfessor of National Taiwan University Jr. Lee, mining Monero on computers is unprofitable. A typical laptop can mine around $0.06 worth of XMR per day using 65W of power, incurring a daily cost of around $0.156. EXODUS 1S users will be able to mine XMR for an average of $0.0038 per day, and their electricity costs will be half that amount. If you believe these figures, in a year a mobile miner will earn a very impressive amount — about 0.70$

Let us remind you that in early March HTCplanned to release a new smartphone based on blockchain — EXODUS 5G Hub — with the ability to run a full Bitcoin node, and in November was going to add Binance Chain support in a special version of the Exodus smartphone.
