Cardano ready to move to Shelley

The Cardano blockchain, on which the ADA altcoin runs, is ready to deploy a full-scale upgrade of Shelley.

RoadThe 2020 Cardano blockchain development map continues to be implemented, with the transition to Shelley scheduled for May 11. 

Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK) will roll out the update in three phases, in which the developers willExplore and test new features of Shelley. 

In the first phase of the buried testing of Friendsand Family Network »IOHK will focus on tuning system parameters such as saturation threshold, network resilience, and decentralization. In addition, IOHK engineers will see the Ouroboros Praos consensus mechanism at work. Only 20 pool operators will be invited for the test, they are called "pioneers".

The second and third stages, the dates of which have not yet been determined, will become publicly available.

The developers assure that after updating the networkwill become 50-100 times more decentralized than other blockchain projects. According to them, "decentralization of knowledge is as important as decentralization of the platform."
