The popular information resource Bitcoin.org is overloaded with useless traffic.
On Monday, the owner of the siteunder the pseudonym Cobra reported that hackers attacked the resource and demanded a ransom of 0.5 BTC for restoring the normal operation of the site's services.
The site was subjected to a similar DDoS attack in December last year. Then, for several hours, access to the Bitcoin Core software was blocked.
Recall that last week, a British court banned the website from hosting the White Paper Bitcoin at the request of Craig Wright. Bitcoin.org has removed all references to the first cryptocurrency whitepaper.
