Belgian authorities will auction bitcoin and its forks worth more than 110 thousand euros

Northern Irish auction house Wilsons Auctions will help the Belgian government realize the seizedlaw enforcement authorities cryptocurrency worth more than € 110 thousand ($ 125 thousand).

Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash put up for auction(BCH) and Bitcoin Gold (BTG), which will be sold in small lots of 0.25-1 units. An online auction that does not involve an initial starting bid will be held March 24 by a division of the company in Dublin.

The auction house, with a history of more than 80 years, will advise the Belgian government at all stages of the process.

Also note that the upcoming auction, where incryptocurrencies will be presented as lots; it will not be the first for Wilsons Auctions. Last year, the services of the company have already contacted the authorities of Belgium and the UK. At auctions, cryptocurrencies worth over $ 1.1 million were sold.

Since 2014, similar auctions have been held in the United States. In February, the US Federal Marshals Service put up for sale the confiscated bitcoins in the amount of $ 37.3 million, which were acquired by two buyers.
