Yahoo Finance has integrated cryptocurrency market analytics

The American financial news giant Yahoo Finance has integrated cryptocurrency prices fromCoinMarketCap (CMC), the largest analytical service. Now site visitors can track prices for major cryptocurrencies, including market capitalization, trading volume, turnover and others.

Yahoo Finance, owned by Verizon Media, and CMC formally confirmed their strategic partnership for cryptocurrency data and content in a November 21 press release.

Yahoo Finance's cryptocurrency page provides prices for 118 assets, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), XRP, Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Tether (USDT) and more.

Pricing includes data from more than 200 cryptocurrency exchanges and cryptocurrencies, which make up more than 90% of the market. At launch, the number of digital assets added to the CMC was 4844.

In addition to cryptocenosis, CMC will provideeducational plan information, and a daily CMC newsletter will be integrated into the news stream. Separate pages on cryptocurrencies will also appear on Yahoo.

Additionally, Yahoo Finance plans to add two CMC crypto indexes — Crypto 200 and Crypto 200 EX.

Verizon Media Chief Financial Officer,technology and automobiles Joanna Lambert emphasized the need to provide a reliable source of cryptocurrency news and data, as cryptocurrencies continue to attract increasing attention.

Yahoo Finance is actively responding to the growingthe popularity of innovative assets. In August 2018, Yahoo Finance integrated the trading of bitcoins, ethers and lightcoins (LTC) on its platform. At the end of 2018, a payment system called Bitcoin was named by Yahoo Finance company of the year.
