US Congress Holds Digital Currencies Hearing

At the end of next month, the US Congress will hold a hearing on the development and regulation of digitalcurrencies.

According to a press release, the hearing, titled“A Review of Domestic and International Approaches to Digital Currencies” will be held on March 24 by the Subcommittee on Homeland Security, International Development, and Monetary Policy of the House Financial Services Committee.

At the moment more detailed information aboutno hearing. However, it is likely that lawmakers will talk about Facebook's Libra project, given how much opposition the project has encountered from some members of Congress, including Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters.
