Two sessions of the World Economic Forum will be devoted to cryptocurrency

This year, Davos will host two sessions on digital assets and their impact on the financial sector.

Separate sessions on the topic “Reboot”digital currencies" will take place on Monday and Thursday. Speakers at these sessions will include leading global figures in finance and government, including Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey, Singapore Senior Government Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Beijing National Institute of Financial Studies Chairman Zhu Min and Western Union CEO HikmetErsek.

As described in the brochure, during the speechexperts will raise the topic of accelerating the transition from cash to digital money, the prospects of which are now being studied by many central banks. It will also consider the necessary policy steps, practical mechanisms and partnerships to realize their potential.
