The ILV emphasized that they did not consider StartMail owners involved in “extremist actions”:

«We understand that restricting access tothis mail resource will not completely block the channels for the distribution of such information by attackers, however, we believe that the measures taken should make it difficult to carry out such actions in the future and significantly reduce their scale.

Since November, calling himself a clientcryptocurrency exchange WEX «miner» demanded to pay him 120 BTC, allegedly stolen by entrepreneurs Konstantin Malofeev from the Wex bitcoin exchange. Later, he thought about increasing the amount to 10,000 BTC.

According to the BBC Russian Service, «miner» maybe Kiev resident Sergei, who actually has 120 BTC frozen on WEX.

In turn, the initiative group of usersWEX believes that a series of «mining» could have been organized by Konstantin Malofeev himself to discredit them and stop activity in the exchange case in the legal field.

According to the FSB, that since November 2019 onShip addresses in 16 regions received more than a thousand anonymous bomb messages. The reports also indicated more than 16 thousand allegedly mined objects of social infrastructure. Note that not all of them were associated with an anonymous miner.
