The Solana network has been upgraded to a newer version and should restore stable operation in the next fewhours.
On Tuesday, the Solana blockchain experienced an outage, which led to a halt in the processing of transactions on the network for sixteen hours.
Approximately 7 hours after the first announcement inSolana Status tweeted details of the issue. According to the developers, the hackers carried out an attack with spam transactions, which increased the load on the network and stopped the processing of transactions and the release of new blocks.
Attempts to stabilize the network have been unsuccessful.As a result, the validator community decided to restart it. The mainnet beta version 1.6.25 was released this morning. Full recovery is expected in a few hours.
