Block.one launches blockchain platform Voice

Voice, a social network based on blockchain technology, was officially launched on U.S. Independence Day, 4July.

Platform CEO Salah Zalatimo said:

Voice takes control of social networksfrom the hands of technology giants. Users looking for a non-policy platform that empowers communities and respects your data should join Voice.

Currently only registered inBeta users from the US can post content or participate in the network, earning the platform’s official token as a reward for creating posts. From August 15, users will be able to invite their friends. It is worth noting that the Voice app for iOS is not available in the Russian App Store.

The beta version of the testing platform wasreleased back in February. Block.one, the company that developed the EOSIO protocol, invested $ 150 million in the development of the network, which was first announced in June 2019. In addition, the company bought the voice.com domain name for the network for $ 30 million.

In the last couple of years, there has been a growing support for a decentralized solution, in which no single authority will be able toSocial media giant Twitter has launched its own new project– BlueSky – for the development of a "decentralized social media standard".
