The court rejected part of the class action lawsuit against Ripple

The court dismissed part of the claims in a class action lawsuit against Ripple, accused of selling XRP asunregistered securities, but allows further proceedings.

District Judge Northern California PhilliesHamilton (Phyllis Hamilton) ruled that the organizers of the class action lawsuit filed by investor Bradley Sostack (Bradley Sostack), can continue to prosecute the company and file complaints against it in accordance with federal laws. However, Hamilton rejected certain claims under California law.

The judge considered convincing arguments Ripple aboutthat the plaintiffs filed a complaint with the court when the statute of limitations has already expired, but this does not apply to Ripple's actions, which may violate federal laws. Hamilton clarified that plaintiffs can submit repeated complaints within 28 days.

“Based on the facts presented, the court cannotdetermine whether the sale of XRP prior to August 5, 2016 was a public offering. Despite the fact that during the proceedings with the US Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California in May 2015, the defendants admitted that they offered and sold XRP in 2013, Ripple's activities at that time did not show a focus on a wide range of people,” — Judge Phyllis Hamilton ruled.

Ripple has completely denied his guilt and has repeatedly filed a motion to dismiss this class action lawsuit, in which investors demand compensation for their losses.
