Traders Eric Yang and Edam Kurtz, who accused cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex and stablecoin issuer Tether ofmanipulating the bitcoin market, recalled their lawsuit.

From the court documents it follows that the plaintiffsvoluntarily abandoned claims against iFinex, the parent company of Bitfinex and Tether. The reason for this decision is not indicated. Under US law, investors can file a lawsuit again.
At the end of November 2019, Yang and Kurtz accused iFinex Inc., its subsidiaries and top managers of money laundering, Pump & Dump schemes, intentional deception of investors and market manipulation using unsecured Tether tokens in order to monopolize the bitcoin market.
Bitfinex initially denied these accusations.The lawsuit "copied the provisions and, accordingly, multiple flaws" of another similar $1.4 trillion lawsuit filed in New York state court on Oct. 6.
