In January 2009, the Internet was launchedthe first cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC). 12 years later, it changed the face of digital currencies and served as a model for the creation of thousands of decentralized assets. Although the mysterious creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto has been praised for his innovative approach, opening a new chapter in the history of the Internet, Hungary is planning to do something different.

Two sculptors, Reka Gergely and Tamas Gilli,A life-size bronze bust will be erected in Budapest in honor of Satoshi Nakamoto. The crypto community praised the effort but raised questions about how the statue would be made since the identity of Bitcoin's creator is unknown. Many people say that Satoshi Nakamoto — it is simply a pseudonym, and others have also suggested that the name may represent the group of people who created the asset.

However, Andras Györfi, the initiator of the project, believes thatthat the identity of the Bitcoin creator is not important. It is worth noting the footprint he left on the Internet, he said, spearheading the adoption of new digital currencies and, most importantly, developing blockchain technology to make the world a better place. It is an effective, fair and transparent database that eliminates mistrust between people and can make the world a better place in many areas, from food supply to aid delivery.

«We are all Satoshi»

Further details show that the statuewill be located in the Graphisoft Park in the third district of Budapest. It will feature a hooded figure representing Satoshi Nakamoto and the people of the Internet. The face will be a bronze-aluminum alloy. The creators will make sure that the face is heavily polished to reflect everyone who comes across it. This will represent the saying "we are all Satoshi." According to the report, the statue can be called "modern anonymous".

Once this is done, Hungary will becomethe first country to have a statue to commemorate the revolutionary achievement of the creator of bitcoin and to honor the people who adopted him. The statue is funded by the Blockchain Hungary Association, Mr.Coin, Crypto Academy and Blockchain Budapest. 27 other organizations and individuals also supported the project.
