Pentagon will catch intruder drones in the network

The US Department of Defense has signed a multi-million dollar contract with Fortem Technologies for the Drone Hunter system, which allows you to catch drones with snares on the fly.

The system is a drone, equipped with artificial intelligence and a radar that can chase and capture small aircraft on the network. The Pentagon plans to use this technology to capture drones that illegally invade enclosed airspace.

When the drone hunter gets close enough to the target, he firesinto her spiders in the style of Spider-Man. Unlike other neutralization systems, Drone Hunter allows you to avoid damage or fall of the aircraft during interception, which ultimately simplifies the determination of who controlled it.

Pentagon also acquired from Fortem Technologiesan autonomous system for monitoring the surrounding space, which independently detects drones that have violated air borders, and can notify personnel about a threat or immediately activate a drone hunter. At the same time, it distinguishes mechanical objects from living ones, therefore it does not pay attention to flying birds.

Earlier, we also reported that the Turkish army adopted quadrocopters with a machine gun.
