Nvidia has spent a lot of effort to prevent miners from using the 3060 to mine Ethereum.
Representatives the companies have confirmed that they have released a driver that mistakenly added the ability to remove the hash rate limit.
The company's statement states:
The recently released driver contained code that was used for internal development. This code removes the hashpower limit on RTH 3060. We have already removed the driver from the public domain.
Although Nvidia has removed the program from its website, it is too late. Driver 470.05 can be easily found online, and Nvidia won't be able to prevent 3060 owners from using it.
