Missouri lawmakers set to pass mining protection bill

The Missouri House of Representatives Committee has approved a bill to protect digital asset mining. Previously, a similar bill passed approval in the Mississippi State Senate.

According to the provisions of the bill on protectiondigital asset mining in Missouri, state and political entities should be prohibited from preventing home digital asset mining nodes from running. The bill limits the prohibitions that the state will be able to take against mining companies.

According to the initiators of the bill,Legal support for mining in Missouri would protect cryptocurrency mining businesses by ensuring that the state imposes requirements only on regulated data centers, preventing state regulators from unilaterally changing mining zoning requirements without “proper notification to all interested parties.”

Since the beginning of the year, legislators of three US states, Missouri, Mississippi
and Montana
approved bills in one form or another,supporting the cryptocurrency industry and legalizing the mining of crypto assets at home, while simultaneously allowing mining companies to operate in areas approved for industrial use.
