Wirex has released a Mastercard payment card with support for 18 crypto assets and fiat currencies

IssuerCryptocurrency Debit Cards Wirex has issued a multi-currency Mastercard in the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA) supporting 18 cryptoassets and fiat currencies.

The multi-currency debit card supportsthe ability to buy, store, exchange and spend 8 digital and 10 fiat currencies with real-time conversion at points of sale, free withdrawals from ATMs around the world and free exchange between fiat currencies.

According to the company, purchase feesthere is minimal or no cryptocurrency, and there is no charge for servicing the card. The map will be available in 31 countries. Edoardo Volta, Head of Fintech for Mastercard UK and Ireland, said:

“Our work with Wirex is another example of how we provide consumers with more choice when shopping and paying.”

Let us remember that last summer Wirex became the firsta cryptocurrency company that has the opportunity to directly issue Mastercard payment cards for its clients. In September, Wirex announced a multi-currency payment card with support for 19 crypto assets and global currencies.
