Wikipedia creator Jimmy Wales calls the idea of ​​integrating blockchain or cryptocurrencies into his encyclopedia “Crazy and very bad.”

Speaking at the CoinGeek conference, Wales saidthat today there is no such option for using cryptocurrencies that would convince him to add their support to Wikipedia. According to him, the integration of blockchain or bitcoin can cause irreparable damage to the platform’s performance.

Integration of such a mechanism does not improve the quality of Wikipedia at all.
