Iran gives permission for the mining of bitcoin to 6000 ASIC miners

The Turkish company iMiner, engaged in cryptocurrency mining, received a license from the Ministryindustry, mining and trade of Iran to conduct activities in the country.

iMiner launches mining operationscryptocurrencies in the province of Iran Semnan with 6,000 ASIC miners. About $ 7.3 million was invested in the company's activities, which allowed it to become one of the largest mining farms in the world.

According to the company, the total capacityiMiner equals 96,000 terahash per second. This suggests that iMiner probably uses Aladin miners, each of which is capable of generating 16 terahs per second.

In addition, iMiner offers cloud mining services that allow customers to lease their hash power for mining bitcoins.

Due to the low price of electricity, Iran is turning into a crypto mining center, which is alarming in the government, as it subsidizes electricity costs for the population.
