The randomizer from Forklog and Waves is a service for conducting transparent draws. Forklog published it in August 2019 as part of the special project “Network Evolution from Web 1.0 to Web 3.0”.

To draw in the blockchain randomizer, you will need to register in Waves Keeper and Waves project tokens.

The randomizer selects winners using a random number. It is generated in several stages:

  • The user sends a request to the oracle server under the control of the smart contract in the Waves blockchain.
  • The transaction with the request is published on the blockchain.
  • The server receives the request and remembers the transaction identifier.
  • The server signs the identifier with its private key. The result is a random number.
  • The server sends a random number to the user.

The user receives a random number and announces winners. Participants in the drawing can check the results on the Waves blockchain.

Since August, 20 users of the ForkLog randomizer have completed 437 transactions.

For the first 90 days from the launch of the service, ourpartners and readers held 35 draws (conversion 17.33%). You can view the current statistics for the month on the application page in the dApp Ocean marketplace.

Waves develops solutions forWeb 3.0 ecosystems: Waves Platform decentralized application platform, Waves Enterprise blockchain for enterprises, Waves Keeper authenticator extension, and Ride programming language.

ForkLog previously published an overview of the protocol for creating Neutrino stablecoins on the Waves blockchain.
