Ethereum 2.0 security audit scheduled for February 2020

Developer Danny Ryan said that a "comprehensive security audit of Ethereum 2.0" as part of Phase 0 shouldtake place in February next year, Trustnodes reports.

According to him, mainly will beIt analyzes the susceptibility of the new system to DoS attacks, its “susceptibility to resource abuse, which leads to unintentional hard forks,” and other Ethereum 2.0 weaknesses. The audit report is expected to be published in early February.

Ryan noted that a new eth2 release will take place before the audit:

“This release v0.10.0 will focus on integrating the new BLS standards into the core Ethereum 2.0 specifications.”

Ryan also hopes that this winter will take place.launch a test network with support for various clients. In addition, a deposit contract will be tested for approximately three months. Consequently, the core network of Ethereum 2.0 will begin work no earlier than mid-summer next year.
