Dutch companies will use blockchain to fight the coronavirus pandemic

A consortium of Dutch companies has launched the Technology Against Coronavirus initiative. Participantsfirms will provide national authorities with access to the latest technology to combat the pandemic.

Blockchain is planned to be used to buildmodels of the ecosystem for the supply of medicines and the creation of a platform for assessing supply and demand in the field of medicines and medical equipment. Blockchain will help fight the overpricing of medicines and ensure transparency of the entire supply chain.

One of the participating companies wasblockchain startup Tymlez. Cybersprint, a cybersecurity firm, will provide services for several hospitals, and Taxion, an information security company, will administer online systems to organize volunteer workers.

Compumatica IT firm will help ensureInternet connection for workers working from home. In addition, the Dutch telecommunications company KPN enlisted the support of Microsoft to support its activities.
