New Balance uses Cardano blockchain to authenticate products

Cardano CEO Charles Hoskinson announces a new partnership under which the American New Balance shoe brand will use the Cardano blockchain to authenticate products. Hoskinson announced a partnership to celebrate Cardano's 2nd anniversary.

Note, New Balance does not intend to use the ADA token in the framework of this pilot project.

Many companies have already begun to implement blockchain intheir supply chains. Walmart uses blockchain technology to build a food tracking system based on the Hyperledger Fabric Linux Foundation.

VeChain entered into a partnership agreement in Augustwith Penfolds, an Australian winemaker, to launch an encrypted blockchain bottle packaging for sale as part of the Wine Traceability Platform initiative.

In March, Carrefour introducedBlockchain’s proprietary milk tracking solution, which is reported to guarantee customers complete transparency of product delivery throughout the supply chain - from farmers' fields to store shelves.
