New Balance uses Cardano blockchain to authenticate products

Cardano CEO Charles Hoskinson announced a new partnership in which the U.S.shoe brand New Balance will use the Cardano blockchain to authenticate products. Hoskinson announced the partnership during Cardano's 2nd anniversary celebration.

Please note that New Balance does not intend to use the ADA token as part of this pilot project.

Many companies have already begun to implement blockchain intheir supply chains. Walmart uses blockchain technology to build a food tracking system based on the Hyperledger Fabric Linux Foundation.

VeChain entered into a partnership agreement in Augustwith Penfolds, an Australian winemaker, to launch an encrypted blockchain bottle packaging for sale as part of the Wine Traceability Platform initiative.

In March, Carrefour introducedproprietary milk tracking solution powered by blockchains, which reportedly provides customers with complete visibility into product delivery across the entire supply chain – from farmers' fields to store shelves.
