Coronavirus in China will delay deliveries of ASICs and drive up their prices

The spread of the Chinese coronavirus has forced leading manufacturers of mining equipmentreschedule ASIC deliveries.

This week, MicroBT, Bitmain, Canaanand Innosilicon warned customers of a delay in the supply of integrated circuits (ASICs) for at least a week. The statements of companies indicate that due to restrictions on the movement of people and goods, all delivery dates for components, production, dispatch and after-sales services may not be fully implemented and on time.

Canaan Sales Director Chen Feng believes that this situation will lead to a shortage of mining equipment and, consequently, to higher prices.

CEO of the BTC mining pool.TOP Jian Zhuer believes that the coronavirus will negatively impact mining. He notes that now only on-duty personnel remain at the mining farms, and the return of full-time employees is delayed due to quarantine. 

Meanwhile, the official Chinese sourcethe fight against coronavirus warns of a lack of essentials and medicines. Binance Cryptocurrency Exchange plans to donate 10 million yuan ($ 1.44 million) for the purchase of medicines.
