Coinbase receives a patent to send BTC via email

Brian Armstrong, Chief Executive Officer of the leading crypto exchange Coinbase, has received a patenton the method,allowing users to translate BTC by sending an email.

The patent filed in March 2015 was granted inTuesday, December 17th. It describes a system that allows users to complete transactions in digital currency using email addresses associated with their online wallets. As soon as the client makes a request to send the PTS to the email address, the program automatically transfers the specified amount from the sender's crypto address to the recipient's wallet, which is associated with his email address.

The patent specifically mentions bitcoin, but notIt is said whether the new system will allow transactions with other digital assets. In addition, the document states that you can use any email service provider to send the PTS.

The proposed system will not charge foruse, and unused cryptocurrencies will be stored in a secure store, accessible only through the email account associated with the corresponding wallet.

The Coinbase exchange also received two additional patents on the same day.One of the documents describes an application for automatically verifying user accounts in accordance with international and local laws.Another patent describes the type of execution protocol for suspending or terminating accounts that canviolate regulatory standards.
