The Agricultural Bank of China, one of the largest state-owned banks in the country, is testing a preliminary version of a mobile phone application that supports the digital renminbi.
SBC was one of the few banks to whichlast year, the Central Bank of China instructed to participate in the launch of a pilot program. Now the state bank has introduced a user interface that allows you to interact with the digital renminbi system, known as DC / EP.
The tested option has a number of functions that allow you to store digital currency, manage wallets,exchange and transfer it, tracktransactions. The application is compatible with iOS and Android OS, and is already available on the SBC website, but for now only certain users from a pre-approved “white list” can register.
Late last year, the People's Bank of China begantest the digital yuan system in several cities and instructed a number of companies to develop their own product versions that support the new means of payment.
