Telegram has released a test version of a desktop wallet for storing Gram tokens. Users candownload the app for MacOS, Windows and Linuxon the official Telegram website and receive keys on the TON test network. After creating a 24-word seed phrase and a password for making payments, the wallet is ready to accept and send digital currency.
Now you have a wallet controlled directly by you – without intermediaries or bankers, – says Telegram.
Users can also get Gram in testnetworks from a special Telegram bot (from 5 to 20 tokens). A transaction on the testnet takes about 1 minute, although the bot warns that the operation may take longer.
Let us remind you that in September the team released the code for a full node, a validator node and a block explorer, confirming the fact that the project is partially ready for launch.
In early October, the project published terms of use for the wallet app and provided investors with access to public keys using the TON key generator, which is now built into the app.
However, the launch was delayed after the SEC filed a lawsuitsuing Telegram for violating US securities laws. Telegram subsequently received investor approval to delay its launch until April 31, 2020.
The company is going to meet with the SEC in court on February 18 and 19, 2020 in New York.
