Cardano Will Hard Fork Mary In March

The second of the three Goguen-era Cardano hard forks, Mary, couldbe activated on the mainnet as early as March 1.

FounderIOHK's Charles Hoskinson revealed in his video that the developers are in the final stages of preparing for the launch of the update.The hard fork is scheduled for March 1.However, he noted that the schedule couldChange.

Hoskinson has high hopes for the upcoming upgrade. The development team did a huge amount of work to make sure everything went according to plan:

We tested it on the testnet for almost a month ... everything seems to be good. The exchanges are happy. We have done a tremendous job, so the rocket launches should be on schedule.

Hoskinson added that Cardano network users will need to update their nodes. To do this, you need to download the latest version of Daedalus, Flight.

The Mary Hard Fork is a major upgrade for Cardano that unlocksnew opportunities for both the Cardano community and companies using the network.It will allow multifunctional smart contracts to run on Cardano and giveAbility to create custom tokens.

DeFi applications will now be able to run on Cardano.In order to attract developers and users, Cardano promisessolve the main problem of Ethereum – high fees and congestion of the system.According to Hoskinson, there will be a certain fee on the Cardano network  , which will not bechange as demand grows.
