Bitmain admitted that Antminer S17 may fail

After several customers posted complaints on social media, Chinese company Bitmainconfirmed that Antminer S17 may fail

Bitmain mining company admitted that Antminer S17 have technical problems:

We are tracking a problem with some products of the 17 series that was previously mentioned in the media.

In addition, a company spokesman told Cointelegraph on May 6:

We started negotiations with customers whoencountered problems while working with the product. We always put the customer first, so if any of the buyers have problems with the miners, please contact the official Antminer support team at any time.

Shortly before Halving 2020Bitmain held the first round of Antminer S19 sales in China. However, buyers will not receive their ASICs until May 11th. The new product is designed to be more efficient to deal with block mining after halving.

Let us remind you that Bitmain plans to distributerefunds to customers who paid for mining machines before the March price reduction began. For AntMiner S17+ received at the end of March, buyers overpaid $240 per unit, and in April already $270. For these amounts, clients will receive a bonus coupon, which gives corresponding discounts on their next purchases from the company.
