Bitcoin hash rate increased by more than 300% over the year to 126 EH / s

According to the BitinfoCharts service, in the pastOver the weekend, the Bitcoin network hashrate rose to 126 exahash per second (EH/s), which became a new record. For comparison, in mid-January last year this figure was only 38 EH/s.

At the beginning of this week, miner activity unexpectedly dropped to 104 EH/s, but analysts believe thatthis is only the result of a short respite, and in the near future the upward trend will again become dominant.

BTC network security is reinforced with hashrate growth. Since the beginning of 2020, mining complexity has jumped by about 13%.

Last Sunday, the Bitcoin rate temporarily exceeded $9,000, but there was no further strengthening and the coin quickly rebounded to $8,700.
