Barclays no longer supports Coinbase user accounts

Coinbase ended its partnership with London bank Barclays, which allowed exchange usersaccess the Faster Payment System (FPS) and helped with withdrawals and deposits of British pounds into exchange accounts.

Now there will betake more time. This problem is temporary because the exchange has signed a new contract with ClearBank. ClearBank has been noted for its strong performance and is committed to providing Coinbase access to the FPS service by the third quarter of the year.

It was this collaboration that forced Coinbaseexclude Zcash from its service in the UK. Because cryptocurrency is sensitive in nature, ClearBank is not willing to associate itself with a currency that could complicate the work of law enforcement.
