Australia Post now allows customers to buy bitcoins

Australians can now buy Bitcoin at branches of one of the country's oldest organizations - its post officeservice.

Thanks to the collaboration of Australia Post andBitcoin.com.au customers can now use the Post Billpay function to purchase bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies at more than 3,500 post offices across the country.

The postal service will accept cash and card payments for purchases of digital currency made through Bitcoin.com.au, a cryptocurrency exchange based in Cremorne.

“This is an important milestone for digital currency in Australiaand all over the world. This proves that there are reputable enterprises and organizations that want to learn new technologies by acting, rather than blocking them, ”said Holger Arians, CEO of the exchange.

Previously Australia PostThe General Department of the Postmaster is one of the oldest organizations in the country, established in 1809 as a private enterprise, and the former convicted Isaac Nichols was appointed the first postmaster.
