Law enforcement agencies have detained a suspect in the theft of funds and opened a criminal case.

A resident of the Russian capital met with the attacker in one of the restaurants, where he handed over money to him. In response, the fraudster had to transfer the cryptocurrency to the Muscovite, but before that he retired to the office to recount the funds. After that, he handed over the money to an accomplice and fled.

After the attacker disappeared, the victimcontacted the police. Law enforcement agencies detained the fraudster and are now investigating the identity of his accomplice, to whom the money was transferred. A criminal case has been initiated against them.

At the end of 2021, suspects in the kidnapping of a crypto investor were detained in the Kaliningrad region. They were charged with kidnapping a person for mercenary motives.

Two intruders posing as employeeslaw enforcement agencies, kidnapped a resident of Kaliningrad, after which they kept one of the accused in the apartment for almost two days. The investigation believes that with the help of threats, the defendants obtained from the victim the transfer of passwords from a cryptocurrency wallet, as well as banking applications.
