Electrum user stolen $ 32,000 due to wallet vulnerability

Unknown stole from the user Electrum 32 thousand dollars, taking advantage of the vulnerability of the bitcoin wallet.

According to Whale Alert, on November 13, one of the confirmed addresses of hackers received a transfer of 2 BTC.

The address has been used since mid-2019.During this time it has transferred more than 106 BTC ($1.7 million at the current rate).

All victims received a request to update their wallet through a pop-up message.After it was installed and a one-time password was entered, the balance tools were transferred to the address of the attackers.

Recall, in October, the attackers stole more than 23 million dollars in bitcoins with the help of fake update Electrum.Criminals have been exploiting the invulnerability since at least December 2018.
