The investor revealed that he lost 1,400 BTC from a wallet he hadn't used since 2017.At the current exchange rate, it isabout $ 16 million.

In a post on GitHub, the investor said that he used an old version of the Electrum wallet when he wanted to transfer about 1 BTC, but was unable to proceed with the transaction due to the message in the pop-up window.

The message insisted on updatingapplication for security purposes before transferring money. As it turned out later, it was a trap. All bitcoins of the investor who updated the wallet were transferred to the hacker's address.
