The largest mobile operator in Austria, A1 Telekom Austria, has announced support for crypto payments,including BTC, ETH and DASH.
According to the official announcement, A1 Payment subsidiary A1 Payment will begin accepting digital currencies for cashless payments.
According to company representatives, A1Telekom Austria now has alternatives at its disposal for digital and international needs. Payments made using cryptocurrencies will reportedly be converted to euros in real time.
“Regardless of the digital payment method used, the retailer receives the purchase price in euros. This removes any exchange rate or currency risk, ”the company said.
Last year, the Swiss telecommunicationsprovider SwisscomAG announced the launch of the NOOW app, a blockchain-based system that guarantees ownership for buyers and payment for artists. According to the official blog post, NOOW is available as an app exclusively on Swisscom TV and includes 100 works by 30 international artists curated by Stefanie Marlene Wenger.
