The Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) will be the first party organization in the United States to hostcryptocurrency contributions to support electoral candidates.
NRCC Says It Will Accept Cryptocurrencythrough the BitPay processing service in BTC and BCH, which will be converted into US dollars before they reach the committee account. NRCC will not receive cryptocurrency payments directly.
This gives the committee the right to accept individual donations on a general basis, up to $ 10,000 per year, rather than the limited $ 100 assistance for cryptocurrency transfers.
The NRCC said it will collect identifying information from all individuals who donate to the committee using cryptocurrency.
NRCC will receive the same personally relevant information that we receive with any other contributions.
Some US political candidates, including former presidential candidate Andrew Yang, have accepted donations using cryptocurrency.
