In France, 25 thousand stores will start accepting bitcoins from 2020

By the beginning of next year, a cryptocurrency payment system will be launched in France, which will allow customers to pay with bitcoins for purchases in more than 25 thousand retail stores.

The new network is a joint projectprovider of Global POS, EasyWallet application and Easy2Play payment platform. With its help, customers will be able to pay for goods with bitcoins, and the system will automatically convert them into euros and immediately transfer them to the seller’s account. Digital asset exchange services will be provided by Deskoin and Savitar, which are currently underwayaccreditation in accordance with local law.

The initiative has already been supported by 30 Frenchretailers including Decathlon, Sephora, Boulanger, Foot Locker, World House, Intersport, Cultura, Maisons du Monde and Norauto. In total, cryptocurrency will begin to be accepted at more than 25 thousand retail outlets throughout the country.

According to Stefan Gian, CEO of Global POS, in the future, partners plan to add support for altcoins on the platform.

This initiative reflects a positive attituderesidents of the European Union towards digital currencies. According to a study by ING bank, 32% of Europeans are confident that cryptocurrencies will become the basis of online payments of the future, and 27% are already ready to pay with them.
