US Congressmen to Receive $ 50 in BTC for Election Campaign

The Chamber of Digital Commerce (CDC) Policy Initiatives is giving $50 in Bitcoin tothe election campaign of each member of Congress.
This step was taken to familiarize future congressmen with the concept of digital assets.

As part of the Crypto for Congress initiative, House and Senate candidates running for re-election will receive a charitable contribution to the PTS campaign.

According to CDC President Periann Boring, this is primarily an attempt to introduce members of Congress to blockchain technology and digital currencies.

In addition to the coins themselves, politicians will have an opportunity for online learning and tools that will help them get used to the possibilities and mechanism of cryptocurrency operation.

At the same time, congressmen have the opportunity to acceptdonation, donate it to a charity that accepts bitcoins, or refuse. Tom Emmer, Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), one of the most prominent cryptocurrency advocates in the U.S. political arena, noted:

“Crypto for Congress provides an opportunity for our entire political community to join this generational shift in finance and technology.”

According to the politician, all bitcoins participating in the program were mined by American technical companies Core Scientific and Luxor.
