Tokai Tokyo Financial Holdings invests 500 million yen in the Japanese exchange Huobi

Financial company Tokai Tokyo Financial Holdings is going to invest in the Japanese division of cryptocurrencyHuobi Exchange 500 million yen (about $ 4.6 million) in January 2020.

Judging by the Tokai Tokyo press release, thiscooperation will allow the active introduction of digital technologies in the financial sector of Japan in order to offer customers improved products and services. A partnership with Huobi can foster the emergence of new initiatives in the framework of initial public offerings of tokens (IEOs), offers of tokens in shares (STOs), as well as cryptocurrency management and storage services. In the future, Tokai plans to cooperate with regional banks that are ready to implement the blockchain.

Huobi began to actively expand its activities inEast Asia, since the exchange had to stop operating in the United States due to requirements of local regulators. Last September, Huobi Japan Holding Ltd acquired Japanese cryptocurrency exchange BitTrade, which was licensed by the Financial Services Agency of Japan (FSA).

In addition, at the end of this year HuobiGroup announced the launch of Huobi Cloud platform to build secure and stable digital asset exchanges. Payment service providers from the Middle East and North Africa region can use this platform.
