Huobi will receive $ 4.6 million investment from Japanese financial holding

Tokai Tokyo Financial Holdings is investing 500 million yen (about $4.6 million) in its Japanese unitcryptocurrency exchange Huobi.

According to the press release, the investment is part of a broader partnership with Huobi Japan, in which Tokai will acquire the shares of the exchange.

Holding intends to use partnership with Huobito advance into new areas of business, including cryptocurrency exchange trading, conducting IEO, issuing local currencies and services for the storage and management of digital assets.

In November, the Japanese company invested in Singapore-based ICHX, the platform operator for the STO.

Huobi Japan was created late last year after the Huobi Group acquired a controlling stake in the BitTrade cryptocurrency exchange.

Earlier, the Japanese division of Huobi attracted 500 million yen of investment from another local financial company - FPG Corporation.
